South America is one of the most exotic destinations in the world, particularly due to its vibrant culture and friendly people.

Apart from that, South America features beautiful natural landscapes which you can marvel at during your bargain holidays. If you're traveling to Peru, one of the most stunning natural sites is Lake Titicaca. The lake is located high in the Andes on the border of both Bolivia and Peru. In order to travel to Lake Titicaca from Peru, tourists must go to Peru's Puno Region which allows them to experience the western part of the lake.

A fascinating aspect of Lake Titicaca that draws tourists to visit it is the Uros. This term refers to the artificial islands on the lake made of floating reeds. The interesting fact is that a population of people actually live on the Uros, and many of the islands contain structures largely made from the reeds.
