Travel to Lima

Lima, The City of Kings was founded by Francisco Pizarro in 1535. It was made the capital of Peru after the Peruvian war of Independence. Lima and its environs are a hidden treasure of ancient history. Ruins of the Incas and other old societies are found in the archeological sites.
A Lima tour of the churches, government buildings and historic houses will give you an insight into the Spanish colonial times and more recent history. If you travel to Lima you will notice that the downtown is crowded and its neighborhood is surrounded by shanty towns and beaches with upscale shopping, dining and lodging facilities. A lot of tourist attractions are there in Lima which includes Plaza De Armas, The Cathedral, Government Palace, Santo Domingo Church and Monastery, San Pedro Church, San Francisco Church, and many other churches. There are also a lot of museums to visit in Lima namely National Museum of Anthropology, Gold of Peru Museum, Art Museum and many more.
