Tourist Attractions of Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is a famous tourist spot of Peru known for the ruins of ancient city of Inca. It is one of the most popular archeological sites of the world and is situated in the Andes Mountain. The Machu Picchu ruins of the Inca trail made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Some of the Machu Picchu tourist attractions are:
• Temple of the Sun: Built in the form of a circular tower on a massive slab of granite, this sacred edifice contains the famous Intiwatana, or sun dial.
• Royal Sector: Royal Sector is a still-functioning water canal and series of interconnected fountains.
• The Temple of the Three Windows: It is a beautiful location of the city where each trapezoid extraordinarily cut with views of the bold Andes in the distance across the Urubamba gorge.
• Huayna Picchu: It is a granite peak suitable for adventurous visitors.
• Main temple: It is situated to the north of the Sacred Square.
• The Tomb: It is a site of worship.
