Hiking The Inca Trail To Machu Picchu

Probably the most famous attraction in Peru is the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Referred to as The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu is perhaps the most familiar icon of the Inca World.
To the more adventurous, don't be satisfied just admiring the wonders of Machu Picchu…why not hike the Inca Trail? The Inca Trail hike is a 30-mile hike through the Andes Mountains. The hike takes place at high altitude, topping out at around 13,750 feet above sea level and ends at the spectacular Machu Picchu Incan ruins.
Beware though that the Inca Trail is no hike for amateurs and the faint-hearted. One has to be physically prepared and trained for it.
